In the year 2005, a change in the names of all member companies occurred in connection with further development and professionalization of the partner network in order make their interconnection with the K2 atmitec brand evident at first sight.

When creating the new name, we have been inspired with the civilisation, culture, and tradition of the area where the renowned eight-thousand is situated. K2 is a synonym for timelessness, stability, and endurance. These features are typical not only for the K2 IS product, but also for the Company as a whole, its visions, values, and staff. Therefore, we have used K2 and added the word „atmitec“ thereto which shows even more our increasing orientation onto the customer and future direction of our activity on the market. The word “atmitec“ consists of words “átmika“ and “technologies“. It expresses a technology which results from the inner substance of every firm.
