This product is acquired by companies which expect from the system in particular automation, simplification and maximal adaptation according to their needs and specificities. Effectiveness lies in replacement of the user interventions whenever it is possible. The K2 Enterprise product is understood by the clients as an environment which makes for them possible to realize their ideas and which, at the same time, provides required outputs (economy, stock, production control). In most cases, it concerns firms with high level of logistics and large number of repeated activities.

Advantages

Compared with the K2 Professional product, it is possible, in K2 Enterprise, to monitor procedure versions and to present the processes graphically. The operating procedures defined by the firm can be supported by K2 Enterprise by means of process control. The programme makes it possible to define roles, to assign them to the users, to create groups as well as to set rules for firm’s procedures. By using the approved procedure by the authorized person, processes are created the particular steps of which are required by the system from the users according to the set algorithm. Thereby, it is possible to work with the information system in such a manner that the user carries out the particular steps required by the system (due to a concrete process across the individual modules) and, subsequently, these have effect on creation of documents and changes to the system.


Common Feature

Protection of the investment consists in integration of the information system with the application intended for process control. Thereby, it is not necessary to create, program and maintain communication interface between the K2 Enterprise product and the application for Workflow. User’s habits acquired by using the K2 Business or K2 Professional products can be used in the definition of operating procedures and use of processes.


Description

The K2 Enterprise product is advanced, modern and highly coherent information system which is completed with new functionalities as a matter of priority. These functionalities are focused primarily on creation of environment and conditions for support by means of which the consultants modify specific behaviour of the application according to the client concerned. The purpose is to create relatively wide application extending usual limits of the information system as concerns communication, automation and data presentation possibilities. K2 Enterprise enables to obtain printouts from defined operating procedures as an electronic documentation required for example by standards for quality control.


  TRADE
The K2 Enterprise product is used by firms in which it is appropriate to make use of complex and strongly coherent document structure (so-called multidocuments) enabling to define linkage of their items with various number of orders, reservations, delivery notes, release notes, invoices etc. It presumes different processing of documents pursuant to the selection of the contractor/customer, especially with regard to pricing, delivery conditions, language version, and output format. Information from the article card concerning prices, alternative units of measure, stock levels etc. is often used also for the I-shop and other communication with the contractors/customers. Uniform data administration concerns also unstructured data in the form of pictures or attached external documents (instructions, certificates, quality certificates, declarations of conformity and others). K2 Enterprise can be used with advantage in firms with complicated logistics and high requirements as concerns communication with external environment.

  PRODUCTION
It is concentrated mainly on creation of arbitrarily complex technological procedures and on work with products in variants. It concerns developed, current as well as historical technological procedures taking into account production batches and production method. For individual variants, separate calculations and approval process exist.

The K2 Enterprise product enables to create several types of different plans. For example, it is possible to create time forecasts (short-term, medium-term, long-term). By implementation of planning rules and taking into account nature of the planned items, common planning methods (MRP I, MRP II, TOC, Kanban, APS) are created. By integration of the existing procedure, it provides the operators with a picture about possible deadlines and material coverage.

Stress is put on module adjustment according to the production character. The basis for creating a special functionality is coverage of the production with materials depending on their features. It concerns, among others, degree of detail when monitoring quality by construction of various views as concerns scrap according to the product, machine, employee concerned etc. Furthermore, it concerns above-standard interconnection with trade processes (e.g. contracting) and supply (e.g. contractors’ demand procedures). Usually, evaluation of contractors is presumed with impact on production control and output quality.

  ACCOUNTING
Major difference, in comparison with the K2 Professional version, consists in definition of procedural dependence as concerns own procedure for entering and processing documents. It is possible to make the particular functions dependent on concrete operating procedure of individual users. Thereby, it is possible to project the company’s organization chart into economy and accounting of the firm concerned.

The companies always combine all software options with regard to obtained results concerning economic picture of the firm in question as well as its particular lines of business – creation of reports as a primary method included in the application itself, creation of data cubes and specific views of data warehouse and, in the Economic Analyses module, analyses made for own needs. In all these tools, it is possible to use with advantage movement classification in the primary documents up to the level of a cost centre, contract, product, responsible person and another two optional classifications selected by the user. In this way, it is possible to separate profitable departments and products incl. main and necessary firm’s activities from unprofitable actions and products.


Implementation

The K2 Enterprise product can be implemented solely on the basis of a contract for work in cooperation with the supplier. The implementation project developed before making such contract describes processes used by the client with focus on processes which are to be adjusted. The part of the project forms method of adaptation and its visualization. Thus, implementation includes not only configuration and adjustment of the system to the client’s requirements, but also training, testing and supervision when beginning the routine operation. Thereby, required functionality, the price thereof as well as realization dates are guaranteed for the client. The ratio of tailor-made specialities to the K2 Enterprise standard is moved in favour of adjustments as compared with the K2 Professional product.


Technology

The K2 Enterprise product is intended for firms with high requirements as concerns number of processed documents with large number of items and users. The K2 Enterprise product is automatically set up to parallel data processing for operation above the Oracle or Microsoft databases. According to the data size and number of processed documents, version of the database machine, cluster operation, back-up method, and server configurations are selected. The K2 Enterprise client can be replaced by terminal access for operation within the firm’s network or for remote access.
